These PDFs allow visitors to see the old webpages exactly as they appeared more than twenty years ago — including layout, colors, animated GIFs, navigation menus, and even the original hyperlinks.

Unlike ordinary screenshots, these PDF captures preserve the structure of the old webpages. That means you can experience AZeats and its restaurant clients as they were intended to be viewed, long before modern social media, smartphones, or today’s web standards.


🌐 Why These PDFs Are Special

Wayback Machine screen‑capture PDFs contain live hyperlinks. If the Wayback Machine has a saved copy of the linked page, the link will actually load — letting you browse AZeats and their client websites as if it were still online.


This happens because the PDF generator preserves the original HTML link structure. As a result:

  • Navigation menus still work
  • Restaurant links still open
  • Some animated GIFs still animate
  • Multi‑page articles can still be clicked through

⚠️ Important Notes About These Captures

While these PDFs are remarkably complete, there are a few limitations and cautions to keep in mind:

  • Not all captures are complete.  Some images were never archived by the Wayback Machine.
  • Some older web features no longer work.  Technologies like Flash, Java applets, and certain early JavaScript functions are no longer supported.
  • Not every AZeats or restaurant client page was captured this way. The AZeats Historical Archive team is actively working to recapture missing pages using this improved method.
  • Email links should not be clicked. These addresses are more than 20 years old and no longer valid. In some cases, the original domain names have changed owners, meaning that a completely different person or business may now control those old email addresses. Clicking them could unintentionally send a message to someone with no connection to AZeats.com or the original restaurant.

Even with these limitations, the PDFs remain one of the most authentic ways to experience the early AZeats.com website.
